Singapore-based facial recognition and video analytics startup XRVision has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Boundary Holding, a Luxembourg-headquartered early-stage technology investment firm founded by Rajat Khare. The investment underscores Boundary Holding’s strategic focus on high-growth technologies, particularly in the rapidly expanding facial recognition and video content analytics market.
The fresh capital will support XRVision’s plans to scale operations and expand into new international markets. For Boundary Holding, the investment represents an opportunity to leverage XRVision’s strong market potential and its advanced AI-driven capabilities in a sector witnessing increasing adoption across public safety, security, and enterprise use cases.
Founded in 2015 by Guy Ron, a former senior leader at Microsoft, Intel, and Avaya, along with Yaacov Apelbaum, XRVision addresses complex security challenges faced by governments and enterprises. The company specializes in performing real-time video analytics in uncontrolled and crowded environments, while also enabling the protection of large volumes of stationary and mobile assets through connected, intelligent IoT solutions.
XRVision has already gained traction across multiple geographies, with clients in Singapore, Taiwan, Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Thailand. Prior to Boundary Holding’s investment, the startup had secured funding from National University of Singapore (NUS) and TNF Ventures, reflecting early confidence in its technology and vision.
Commenting on the investment, Rajat Khare, Founder of Boundary Holding, said the firm sees strong potential in XRVision’s AI-based technology, particularly its ability to recognize faces while extracting actionable insights to help maintain public order and enhance safety. As part of the deal, Khare has joined XRVision’s Board, signaling a hands-on approach to supporting the company’s growth and strategic direction.
Founded by Khare, Boundary Holding focuses on backing early- and seed-stage startups operating across Artificial Intelligence, Big Data analytics, IoT, and algorithmic trading. With a global network of startup programs and more than US$200 million in committed capital across different organizations, the fund continues to strengthen its presence in transformative technology sectors worldwide.
The investment in XRVision further highlights Boundary Holding’s commitment to supporting innovative companies that address real-world challenges through scalable, data-driven solutions, while reinforcing Singapore’s position as a hub for advanced AI and security technologies.
